Erb, Jr. Racks Up Handful of Recent Top Fives Heading into St. Louis Firecracker Faceoff
(June 20, 2025)
It’s been a hectic last ten days for Dennis Erb Racing and the upcoming schedule for the Carpentersville, Illinois-based team doesn’t lighten up anytime soon. Even with a pair of rainouts on the DIRTcar Summer Nationals trail, Dennis Erb, Jr. has still competed in eight series events from June 10-19 across the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa. In those eight shows that have escaped the wrath of Mother Nature, Dennis has racked up five Top Five efforts with three of those finishes being third place podium performances. (Todd Healy Photo)

He rounded out the podium in third on June 12 at Peoria (IL) Speedway behind $5,000 winner Drake Troutman and Ryan Unzicker, on June 14 at Fairbury (IL) Speedway behind $10,000 victor Brian Shirley and Jason Feger, and on June 15 at Sycamore (IL) Speedway behind only $5,000 winner Jason Feger and Brian Shirley. At the completion of week one points on Sunday at Sycamore, Dennis was awarded an extra $5,000 for his second place points finish for the week behind Jason Feger.

Currently, Dennis finds himself second in week two points as well after finishes of fourth at Wilmot (WI) Raceway on June 16, fifth at Davenport (IA) Speedway on June 17, and fourteenth last night at Lee County (IA) Speedway. Week two on the “Hell Tour” concludes on Friday and Saturday, June 20-21 at Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri and on Sunday, June 22 at Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois.

The pair of races that make up the ‘St. Louis Firecracker Faceoff’ at Pevely will be co-sanctioned with the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series. Tonight’s weekend opener shells out a $12,000 payday, while Saturday’s finale boasts a $20,000 first place prize. Dennis currently sits ninth in the latest version of the World of Outlaws point standings heading into Federated Raceway at I-55. You can watch each night of dirt-slinging action from both Pevely and Lincoln LIVE on DIRTVision.
