DENNIS ERB RACING HITS SELECT UMP SUMMER NATIONALS SHOWS
(June 23, 2018)
Another $10,000 payday was up for grabs on the "Hell Tour" tonight in front of the loyal fan base at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois! Dennis Erb, Jr. posted the seventh quickest lap in Group A during qualifying prior to scoring a heat race triumph. After drawing the third starting spot in the 50-lap main event, Dennis wound up slipping back to seventh by the end of the feature distance.

(June 22, 2018) Mother Nature finally gave a reprieve to the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals tour tonight, but several days of heavy rain through the Land of Lincoln left Tri-City Speedway with a rough, hammer-down racing surface. At the Granite City, Illinois oval, Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in fourth quickest in Group A during the qualifying session before claiming the second transfer spot through his heat race. In the rugged $10,000 to win feature event, which saw only eight drivers complete all 40 circuits, Dennis started the contest from the inside of the fourth row and retired early in the seventeenth position.

(June 21, 2018) Thursday's scheduled $5,000 to win "Hell Tour" shootout at Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Illinois has shifted to Monday, June 25 because of wet grounds and a rainy forecast. The next UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals showdown will be Friday, June 22 at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois where a $10,000 payday will be up for grabs.

(June 17, 2018)
Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team returned to the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series scene on June 15-16 in the annual running of the 'Clash at the Mag' at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. The two-day showdown drew 28 competitors to "The Mag" to vie for the hefty $20,000 top prize. Dennis started off his weekend by knocking down the twenty-fourth fastest lap during the qualifying session on Friday night and later grabbing the sixth and final transfer spot through his loaded heat race. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace then started the 100-lap headliner on Saturday evening from the outside of the ninth row and proceeded to pick off six competitors en route to a respectable twelfth place performance. Dennis still sits thirteenth in the heated LOLMDS point standings exiting the trip to Mississippi. Full results from the 'Clash at the Mag' can be found online at www.lucasdirt.com.

DENNIS ERB, JR. COMPETES IN SOGGY DIRT LATE MODEL DREAM
(June 10, 2018)
The Dennis Erb Racing team rolled into the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from June 7-9 for the annual running of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream,' which drew 78 competitors to the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant to vie for the whopping $100,000 winner's check. After Thursday night's $5,000 to win prelim was pushed back to Friday afternoon, Dennis Erb, Jr. ran seventh in his heat race and fourth in the B-Main prior to blasting past ten competitors during the 25-lap sprint to earn a fourteenth place showing. Later that evening in the regularly scheduled $10,000 to win show, Dennis placed second in his heat race and later slipped back to thirteenth in the final finishing order of the 25-lapper.

When Saturday came around at the "Big E," Dennis had earned the 27th most points in preliminary action and a spot on the front row of one of the six heat races. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace ran strong in his loaded heat race and finished fourth, which was one mere spot out of a coveted transfer position into the 100-lap main event. He was then leading his B-Main before motor problems unfortunately caused him to retire and kept him out of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' By virtue of accumulating the seventeenth most points during preliminary competition, Dennis rolled off from the inside of the ninth row in Saturday's 100-lap headliner. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace was on the move early and often during the $30,000 to win 'Show-Me 100' and picked off ten racecars en route to a strong seventh place effort. The Dennis Erb Racing team and driver Dennis Erb, Jr. had a pair of $10,000 to win MARS Racing Series tilts in the Land of Lincoln circled on their racing calendar over the May 11-12 weekend. With Saturday's rain-out of the annual 'FALS Frenzy' at Fairbury American Legion Speedway, the #28 team competed in one lone event on Friday evening at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois. Dennis stopped the clock fifth quickest in Group A during the qualifying session and finished fifth in his stacked heat race prior to scoring a triumph in his B-Main. Dennis then started the 'Farmer City 74' from the inside of the ninth row and immediately pointed his Black Diamond machine to the front of the strong field. ERB, JR. CLIMBS TO FOURTH IN TOYOTA KNOXVILLE 50 AT TAZ!
(May 6, 2018)
Dennis Erb Racing ventured south to the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee on Friday night, May 4 for the annual running of the 'Toyota Knoxville 50.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the one-day throwdown in the Volunteer State and a $12,000 top prize was on the line. Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in thirteenth quickest overall during the qualifying session prior to placing fourth in his loaded heat race. Dennis then drove his #28 Black Diamond racecar past six competitors during the 50-lap affair to leave "The Taz" with an impressive fourth place showing behind only victor Jonathan Davenport, Tim McCreadie, and Don O'Neal!

After Saturday's annual 'Ralph Latham Memorial' was washed out at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky, the #28 team quickly headed back north to LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois and barely made it in time to compete in the $3,000 to win 'Land of Lincoln 40,' which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil MLRA Series. Dennis ran second in heat race action and had vaulted up to third in the running order in the 40-lapper when he unfortunately slowed to draw a lap 22 caution flag. The culprit was a dirt clod or a rock that hit the fuel pump, which cut off the supply of fuel to the motor and relegated Dennis to a disappointing eighteenth place performance. Dennis laid down the tenth fastest lap in Group A during qualifying, but a serious vibration on his Black Diamond mount caused him to pull off the track early in his heat race. After unloading a back-up car for the consolation race, Dennis rallied from the tail to grab the sixth and final transfer spot. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace, who now sits fourteenth in the ultra-tight LOLMDS point standings, then worked his way past six competitors during the course of the 50-lap headliner to leave the Buckeye State with a sixteenth place showing.
