The penultimate event of the 2017 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season took the Dennis Erb Racing team to the sprawling Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pennsylvania on October 6-7 for the 29th edition of the 'Pittsburgher 100.' On Friday night during preliminary action, Dennis Erb, Jr. knocked down the ninth quickest circuit in Group B during the time trial session prior to placing fifth in his stacked heat race. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series dipped south into the Peach State and took the Dennis Erb Racing team to Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia and Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia on September 30-October 1 for two more pivotal point battles. On Saturday evening in the $12,000 to win 'Dixie Shootout,' Dennis Erb, Jr. was involved in a heat race skirmish and placed seventh in his stacked prelim. After running fifth in his B-Main, Dennis utilized a series provisional to roll off from the outside of the twelfth row in the 60-lap headliner. During the course of the prestigious 'Dixie Shootout,' the Carpentersville, Illinois standout drove past half of the field en route to a respectable twelfth place showing.

In the annual 'Rome Showdown' on Sunday night, Dennis finished ninth in his stacked heat race and eighth in his B-Main. Dennis Erb, Jr. celebrated in victory lane for the fifth time in his 2017 campaign on Sunday evening, September 24 in the 'Bill Waite, Jr. Memorial Classic' at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois! Dennis posted the fifth quickest lap overall during the qualifying session prior to running second in heat race action. After rolling off from the inside of the third row in the unsanctioned 40-lap feature, Dennis worked the bottom of the 1/4-mile bullring to perfection and eventually grabbed the top spot from Chris Simpson heading to the white flag. The Carpentersville, Illinois star then led the final circuit to bag the $4,000 payday ahead of Simpson, Jason Feger, Paul Parker, and Jeremiah Hurst!

Earlier in the weekend, the #28 team was in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition during the 38th Annual 'Jackson 100' at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on September 22-23. ERB, JR. ENDURES LONG WEEK AT JOLIET AND KNOXVILLE...

The Dennis Erb Racing team was back on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series scene from September 14-16 at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, as the 14th edition of the 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals' took center stage in the Dirt Late Model world. Things got underway in the Hawkeye State with a pair of $7,000 to win preliminary programs and 56 entrants made their way to the 1/2-mile speedplant to compete in the three-day crown jewel spectacular. Dennis Erb, Jr. unfortunately could not find his way into either of the 25-lap prelims after finishing sixth in his heat race and tenth in the B-Main on Thursday night and suffering a flat tire in his heat race, winning the C-Main, and running eighth in the B-Main on Friday evening.

When Saturday rolled around at the Marion County Fairgrounds facility, Dennis wound up seventeenth in the loaded B-Main, but received a series provisional to gain access into the 100-lap grand finale. The Carpentersville, Illinois star was then making his way forward through the talented field from his thirty-first starting position before motor issues caused him to retire from the $40,000 to win affair in the twenty-ninth spot. DENNIS ERB, JR. TRANSFERS INTO 47TH ANNUAL WORLD 100

Dennis Erb, Jr. made his yearly September pilgrimage to the hallowed high-banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from September 7-9 for the 47th edition of the famed 'World 100.' The three-day crown jewel spectacular started with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs, each of which paid $10,000 to the winner. On Thursday night, Dennis narrowly missed out on transferring into the 25-lap main event by finishing fifth in his loaded heat race and third in his B-Main. Unfortunately, Dennis suffered the same fate on Friday evening at the "Big E" after once again running fifth in his heat race and third in his consolation race.

On Saturday at the Darke County facility, the largest crowd in the history of Eldora Speedway assembled to witness the 'World 100,' which boasted a gigantic $50,000 windfall. Dennis stormed past eight competitors in his heat race to earn the third and final transfer spot behind only Jonathan Davenport and Tim McCreadie. The Dennis Erb Racing team tackled a pair of special events over the Labor Day holiday weekend (September 1-3) in their home state of Illinois, as well as the Mountaineer State of West Virginia. On Friday night at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois, a $5,000 top prize was on the line for the UMP Super Late Models in the final race of the season at the 1/4-mile bullring. Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in second fastest in his group during qualifying prior to running third in his loaded heat race. Next up on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series schedule for Dennis Erb Racing was a trip to Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas from August 18-20 for the 25th Annual 'Topless 100.' The popular roof-less event drew 41 competitors to the Batesville-area to vie for the whopping $40,000 winner's check. Dennis Erb, Jr. stopped the clock eleventh fastest in Group A during Friday's time trial session prior to grabbing the fourth and final transfer spot through his stacked heat race. The Dennis Erb Racing team returned to the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series scene on August 10-12 at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. The three-day weekend at the Cincinnati-area facility started on Thursday night with the 'North/South Shootout,' which paid $10,000 to the winner. Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in twentieth fastest in Group B during qualifying prior to blasting to second in his loaded heat race. HUGE WEEK OF RACING IN HOME STATE OF ILLINOIS FOR #28 TEAM

Dennis Erb, Jr. rolled into Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois for this weekend's 28th Annual 'Prairie Dirt Classic,' which was once again sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series and boasted a lucrative $30,000 payday. Last night in preliminary competition, Dennis clicked off the twentieth fastest lap in Group A during qualifying before blasting up to fourth in his $2,500 to win prelim feature to finish behind only race winner Shane Clanton, Ryan Unzicker, and Brian Shirley. After starting tonight's 100-lap PDC from the outside of the seventh row, Dennis drove up inside of the top ten before eventually sliding back to fourteenth by the time the checkered flag fell over the talented field.

Following the mid-week special in South Dakota, the #28 team crossed through the pit gate at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on July 21-22 for the 7th edition of the 'Silver Dollar Nationals.' The two-day Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series spectacular, which paid a record high $53,000 to the winner, started on Friday night with two rounds of qualifying heat races. Dennis Erb, Jr. won his first heat race of the evening before recording a sixth place finish in his final prelim. By virtue of racking up the twelfth most passing points, Dennis rolled off from the outside of the sixth row in Saturday's 80-lap 'Silver Dollar Nationals.' On Friday night in the $10,000 to win 'NAPA Know How 50' at Granite City, Dennis timed in eighth quickest in Group A during the qualifying session prior to running sixth in his stacked heat race. The Dennis Erb Racing team followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee from July 6-8 for a trio of pivotal point battles. Up first were two $10,000 to win programs at Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville, North Carolina and Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina. On Thursday night at Fayetteville, Dennis Erb, Jr. ran fifth in his loaded heat race, but motor woes during the 50-lap feature unfortunately dropped him to a nineteenth place effort. At Cherokee on Friday evening in the annual 'Grassy Smith Memorial,' Dennis placed fourth in heat race action and later climbed three spots during the 50-lapper on his way to a solid twelfth place showing.

In the weekend finale on Saturday at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee, a $12,000 winner's check was on the line in the annual running of the 'Mountain Moonshine Classic.' The World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series tour presided over the $10,000 to win program at the pristine Chicago-area facility. (June 26, 2017) Dennis Erb, Jr. recorded his 22nd career UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals triumph tonight at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee! Dennis swept the night's racing action at the Volunteer State oval, as he posted the fastest lap in his group during qualifying, won his heat race, and later led all forty circuits of the main event. (June 25, 2017) Sunday's UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals stop took Dennis Erb, Jr. to the pristine Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana tonight for a $5,000 to win battle. Dennis laid down the sixth quickest time in his group during the qualifying session prior to running fourth in his loaded heat race. The Carpentersville, Illinois star then strolled past six competitors during the 40-lapper en route to a steady fifth place showing behind only race winner Tyler Erb, Shannon Babb, Bobby Pierce, and Billy Moyer.

(June 24, 2017) Next up was a visit to Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois tonight for another Summer Nationals tilt, which carried a $10,000 top prize. Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in ninth fastest in Group B during qualifying before grabbing the second transfer spot through his heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the third row in the 50-lap feature event, Dennis quickly made his way up to the second position and eventually earned a runner-up performance behind only victor Shannon Babb!

(June 23, 2017) Another day, another "Hell Tour" stop for the #28 team, as they rolled into Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois today for a $10,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals show. Dennis Erb, Jr. stopped the clock second fastest in his group during the time trial session and later ran second in his loaded heat race. After starting the 40-lapper from the inside of the fourth row, Dennis methodically worked his way to the front of the stellar field and swept by race-long leader Tony Jackson, Jr. on the final circuit to notch his 21st career series victory in exciting fashion. (June 22, 2017) The Dennis Erb Racing team was in the pit area tonight at Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Illinois for a UMP Summer Nationals program, which boasted a $5,000 winner's check. Dennis Erb, Jr. laid down an ultra-fast lap during qualifying to set a New Track Record prior to scoring the victory in heat race action. After leading the first nineteen circuits in the 40-lap feature event, Dennis eventually settled for a strong runner-up effort behind only race winner Bobby Pierce!

DENNIS ERB, JR. VAULTS TO RUNNER-UP IN CLASH AT THE MAG!

Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team were back on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series grind on June 16-17 in the annual running of the 'Clash at the Mag' on the black-ice of Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. Following a rain-out of Friday's preliminary action, the entire show was condensed into a single-day shootout on Saturday evening at "The Mag." Dennis tripped the clock ninth fastest in Group A during the qualifying session and later placed third in his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the fifth row in the $12,000 to win headliner, Dennis maneuvered his Black Diamond Chassis past seven competitors during the 60-lap affair, which landed him in the runner-up position at the checkers behind only victor Mike Marlar. The Carpentersville, Illinois standout still sits eighth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings exiting the 'Clash at the Mag.' ERB, JR. POSTS TOP FIVE IN DIRT LATE MODEL DREAM PRELIM

Dennis Erb Racing traveled to the Buckeye State of Ohio from June 8-10 for the 23rd edition of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' A stellar field of 79 Super Late Model competitors signed in at the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio and all eyes were focused on the whopping $100,000 winner's share. Things kicked off at the "Big E" on Thursday and Friday with a pair of preliminary programs, which paid $5,000 and $10,000 to win respectively in Twin 25 lap sprints.

Dennis Erb, Jr. placed third in Thursday night's heat race before climbing to fifth in the 25-lap feature to finish behind only winner Scott Bloomquist, Chris Madden, Jimmy Mars, and Billy Moyer. On Friday evening, Dennis earned Fast Time honors during qualifying prior to winning his heat race and finishing eighth in the 25-lapper. Looking to repeat in Saturday's 'Dirt Late Model Dream,' the Carpentersville, Illinois ace grabbed the third and final transfer spot through his heat race, but could only muster a fifteenth place showing in the 100-lap headliner.
